REPUBLEAGUE Season 3 Overview

REPUBLEAGUE is one prestigious Counter-Strike: Global Offense European tournament organized and started in 2021. The said tournament aims to showcase the best-of-the-best teams in the European region and gather them all into the big stage to battle which is the best among themselves.

With the massive success of REPUBLEAGUE other seasons, it became a continuing tournament that is now on its Season 3. Unlike its predecessor, REPUBLEAGUE Season 3 is not sponsored by TIPOS, a Slovakian betting site. Lastly, this season comprises different qualifying stages for numerous teams to be able to get the prize money of this event and land an invitation to bigger CSGO tournament events around the world.

REPUBLEAGUE Season 3 is also one of the most successful European League tournaments for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive esports despite being recently established. This season will start on June 7 and end on June 29 with a prize pool of €120,000. It will showcase 16 teams and this tour shall be exclusively played online and not via LAN connection with a Europe server.

This season differs from its predecessors as it has five qualifying stages: European Qualifier #1 and #2, V4 Open Qualifier #1 and #2, and Closed Qualifier and the winning teams in each stage will have to face the championship round of the season. The European and V4 Open qualifier is already done but the Closed Qualifier will be held from May 23 to June 6, 2023.

Prize Pool 

Since the other qualifying rounds of REPUBLEAGUE Season 3, namely European Qualifier #1 and #2, V4 Open Qualifier #1 and #2 are already done. These stages also don’t have any prize amount for the winning team but only a secure spot for the final round of the season. However, it differs in the Closed Qualifier which will happen in May as there is a prize pool of €20,000 that will divide in this order:

Game Schedule 

As for the game schedule for REPUBLEAGUE Season 3, the only information given to the public is that it will be set to start on June 7 and end on June 29. However, there is no specific breakdown of the day-to-day schedule to happen as the results for REPUBLEAGUE Season 3: Closed Qualifier will affect the scheduling and final list of teams to participate.

Game Format

REPUBLEAGUE Season 3 is set to start in June. The game format provided in this season will be different from the other qualifying stages. Here is the gaming format to follow and the team shall abide in order to become champions of REPUBLEAGUE Season 3.

Group Stage will have the following gameplay:

  • Two double eliminations for those who are in the GSL Group
  • Each group will consist of eight teams
  • Matches will be Best-of-Three

Top three teams from the designated groups will advance to Playoffs and follow the following:

  • Winners of the group stage will advance to the Semifinals
  • Runner-ups in the group stage will advance to the Quarterfinals as the High Seeds
  • Third placers in the group stage will advance to the Quarterfinals as the Low Seeds

Playoffs will have the game format:

  • Single-Elimination format
  • Matches will be Best-of-Three

Also, teams will be playing on the Maps that are mostly used in any championship games: Ancient, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage, Vertigo, Overpass, and Nuke. The teams should have good knowledge of the maps to their advantage and to secure victory in winning the game.

Game Broadcast

Since the game will be held purely online, the organizers of the game made sure that fans will still have the first-hand experience of watching the game as it will be played and broadcast live via accredited and authorized Twitch and YouTube channels. As to the host of these live broadcasts, it will be decided when the game is approaching. Updates on the link to the game will definitely be posted on the official website of the organizers and other social media platforms.
